Default Home canning? Anyone else try it?

Does anyone else can their own fruits and veggies? The wife just finished canning some homemade pickles! I'm excited-but have to wait at least 6 to 8 weeks for them to be finished pickling. Oh well.

If anyone has any recipes or stories they'd like to share-please do. It's fun to hear other posters victories or struggles on this fun and rewarding activity!

My mom used to can. Good if you do it right, deadly if you do it wrong, botulism and all.

My aunt cans at home. She cans a lot of different things. Whenever they come down for christams they always bring some canned stuff with them to give to us.

The majority of botulism cases come from home canning. Just sayin'
