Rescue Dawn in Blu-ray - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

My Rescue Dawn is already on it's way. It should get here today or tomorrow. Someone said they did the overnight shipping. I guess since Rescue Dawn Blu-Ray doesn't really have a release date, they are releasing it.......now.

It's release date is Nov. 20th.

Yeah, but they pushed backed the release date for Blu-Ray. So they're giving it out now on Frys.com.

Yeah I ordered mine overnite from Frys.com Is any other place getting this movie?

I checked the tracking number on DHL and it says its out for delivery today. I should have it very soon now. I'm gonna watch it tonight and I'll post a few comments on the PQ/SQ and movie itself.

That's good news, at least we are getting one more MGM movie before the year is out.

Rescue Dawn (Blu-ray) isn't even listed on Amazon.com, just the DVD version.

I'll report on the PQ/AQ Blu-ray after I watch it hopefully tonight. It's in 1.78 aspect ratio, which doesn't have the black bars..that makes me happy.

Just received Rescue Dawn 5 minutes ago..I'll be posting some pictures of the back cover...looks like a really high bitrate AVS transfer!

Did you guys notice the AVC@34MBPS bit rate? Thats crazy high isn't it? compared to like "Day After Tomorrow", which was at AVC@26MBPS. That movie had very good PQ.

Just received "Rescue Dawn" on Blu-ray from Frys.com today. Looks like it has a very high bitrate for a new live action movie: AVC@34MBPS

I'll be posting a mini review on the PQ and AQ after I watch it tonight.

P.S. Anyone else that gets the movie early can post their comments here as well.

well I guess we don't have to speculate on wether it's getting canceled like other MGM titles.
