Default So, who's buying a 3D Blu-ray player?

Now that the whole 3D craze has gotten into the TV and Blu-ray business, I'm just curious if anybody's planning to buy a 3D Blu-ray player.

I already have. I've got the Panasonic BDT300. I've got 4 3D Blu rays as well.

Actually I bought two a Panasonic DMP-BDT350 and a Panasonic DMP-BDT300. I have two Samsung DLP sets that need checkerboard and these Panasonic Blu-ray players are the only 3D players that do checkerboard. I also have two PS3s which will soon have the 3D upgrade but unfortunately they will probably not do checkerboard.

I already have two PS3's. So I won't unless someone else in my household wants one.

Thumbs up 3d bd

I have the Panasonic DMP-BDT350 also. It's the perfect match for my Panny TC-P58VT25.

The current 3D implementation can only be a fad.

I would not recommend switching existing equipment for 3D hardware.

I plan on getting a Panasonic DMP-BDT350 since it does checkerboard and has two HDMI outs (which will allow me to buy a slightly less expensive reciever eventually).

At the moment? No, I have no immediate plans for it. I'll probably reconsider it in ten years or so, after saving more money, getting a bigger and better HT (maybe), a bigger place, and when 3D technology is really off the ground and mainstream.

As soon as I graduate and work for a while to collect some money, which will occur in 2 years total, I wil

1) Buy a new 3dHDTV 70' plus
2) Buy a 3D BD player, top tier
3) Build a component system, with top of the line 3D A/V receier and speakers

Than

I'll eventually buy a 3D capable player. As with other technology, I'll upgrade when my current one bites the dust, I'll buy a newer model with the latest features I don't think are a fad.

So far I have an HDMI 1.4 compliant receiver, but both my BD player and TV only support HDMI 1.3 (and neither does 3D).

Will not bite until there are broadcasters doing it.
I will be all over it once the NFL is being broadcast in 3-D!

Once the opportunity presents itself, I will.....

...When they start making 3D BD players that accept BDXL discs. Stupid new standard. It's like "No matter what 3D BD player you buy right now, you'll still need to buy a new one when BDXL discs hit the market".

Unless the BDXL standard is not being optioned for regular BD releases, in that case.... 3D=WANT!

No, and i don't plan to...3D is just a fad that will die very quickly. I'm not buying into this 3D crap.

Manufacturers should be very proud of sheep like you guys.

Crap like Avatar is the reason manufactures are milking this whole 3D nonsense.
