Dedicated Anime subforum?

Greetings Blu-ray.com moderators, I was wondering if it's possible to make the official anime on Blu-ray thread a sticky thread?

Not sure what the conditions are but the thread has been one of the daily threads on the site since June.

It's almost as bad as putting "Spanish" films or "Sci-fi horror" films into one single thread.

For someone interested in just a few anime blu-ray, it's quite a pain to read through a lot of non-related posts to know about the movie you are interested in.

I think there's no stopping anyone from creating threads on particular animes. I've made some myself, but I think none got any reply.

Also, there's a "Search this Thread" button that's very useful.

I think a step in the right direction would be one thread for movies and then a few for the different kind of shows like shounen and so forth.

If they expand that much than a whole new section would be needed. Keeping it all in one thread keeps the clutter in check and generally makes it easier to find what you want.

I think it's easier with one thread since there isn't a whole lot of anime released on Blu-ray in America yet.

PQ and AQ wise, what is the best Anime film/series out on BR right now?

I am looking to start picking up Anime titles but I'd like some suggestions.

I would say Ponyo has the best PQ/AQ but I see you already own that. I'd check out Sword of the Stranger for sure, it's gorgeous. Also Akira and Evangelion 1.11 both looking amazing.

I like Full Metal Alchemist, but they only have Brotherhood on Blu. I would watch the original series first though before you watch Brotherhod, since it's a remake pretty much.

Plus Full Metal is a great Anime for new people to get into I think.

Akira is like one the first Anime's and is a pretty awesome movie.
Afro Samurai is pretty good as well but is very violent. So if you like to see lots of blood and people getting dismembred check it out.

Blood:The Last Vampire is good as well. It's a very short movie but it's good. They wound up making a series on it though, Blood+ it's called. Very good as well.

My favorite anime blu right now is Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise. Beautifully animated, great story... highly recommended. Since it was released by Bandai Visual, it is a bit pricy, but totally worth it.

There's plenty. Evangelion 1.11, Kurokami, Akira, Gunbuster Vs. Diebuster, Eureka Seven, Fullmetal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic, Tsubasa season 2, DBZ, and plenty others where that came from.

The question is, is there enough interest to start a dedicated "Anime" forum? Or would that only make things worse with members who only have a small interest in Anime not checking it out at all?
