Default New Aliens vs Predator movie looks sick

Here is a link to two hd trailers of the new AVP Requiem which comes out this Dec. I thought that the first AVP was rather lame, but this one looks like it should be light years ahead.

WOW! one thing i didnt like about the first one was that the predators were getting their @$$ beat by the aliens. this movie looks to be the other way around. the predator looks smaller but also more skilled. this is a must see for me

Awsome! Can you imagine being in the HD DVD camp knowing these movies are not coming your way? What spin do they put out then? "Oh well we have Transformers?" This line is going to get very old.

WRONG!!!! Transformers makes you feel like a 5 year old kid while you watch it. Don't hate transformers because it's HDDVD only. Optimus has more Blu on him than red. Time will bring them to the Blu side. It's the jerks at paramount that got bought by Toshiba not Transformers you should be hating. Transformers is a really kick-ass film. But i do agree, the new AVP looks really sick. The first one should have had this much gore. Fox made a huge mistake making the first film PG-13 unlike all of the other 6 "R" rated films before it. This film will look F*&%cking sick on Blu-Ray.

Sad how the Alien and Predator franchises have been destroyed. The appeal of both was its psychological warfare on the audience. For Alien, not knowing what will pop up and from where or what you may have not noticed in the wall. For Predator, its focus on observing its victims before killing and the audience waits. Its stealth technology kept it out of sight. The audience just kept wondering "When? When?"

These AvP trailers look like another action film with bad dialog and acting. The franchises went from Sci-Suspense to Sci-Action. Oh well, it will have its own kind of appeal I guess.

Bah!!! I know they made an extended version. But the fact that they released it as PG-13 at first just gets under my skin.

The Predator series was always about action. The fact that it starred Arnold Schwarzenegger makes that a given. I would argue that only the first Alien movie fell into the horror genre. Not every movie can appeal to everyone.

just torrent the HD DVD version of TF and be done with it, really...
Besides TF, there is not a single hd dvdiot exclusive movie I can't wait to see it in High def. Actually, believe it or not, I saw TF in HD and it wasn't even close to the Theater experience for me. I want to see that in 4k

don't get me wrong! loved the movie's special effects and all but the corny humor and casting totally ruined it for me, that's Michael 'Hack' Bay for you.

as far as I'm concerned, the red camp can keep it.

It wasn't just the PG-13 deal that made the first AvP suck, it was director Paul W.S Andersion. He suck period.

Three predators or so drop down to hunt but instead got their asses whoop by a bunch of small fries Aliens. (Thank heaven this AVP-R brought back the huge Alien from the first movie. This is the Alien that can blend into all the spaceship wiring stuff and hangs upside down.)

The one from Avp was almost like the small running type.

Anyways, Yes this movie look sick and yes it's even more sick that it will be for blu-ray. As long as there's no Predator and some chick making out, and team up with each other agains't a cheesy T-rex-like-Alien, then I'm ok with it.

Oh yea, have you guys seen the Predalien from AVP-R? That thing look sick!
http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-conte.../predalien.jpg

And about the first AvP unrated/directors cut one, I've seen it, that one still sucked.
There's not much new stuff, other then a pizza delivery man running in the snow and gets attack by a predator. (don't ask how or why the pizza man was there.)

I hope they keep the Director and give him free reign. Just after it was released and the outcry settled down, I remember reading an interview where he stated that he wanted a complete bloodletting and the studio Disney'd the film into mediocrity.

Here's hoping, because from what I read, the director sounded like he really wanted to make a truly great action film, but wound up being hamstrung by the executives.
