Default College Students?

I have often been curious how many members here are still in college spending money that could be going towards books (or whatever) Also wondering where people are going to college. I am going to Penn State, and honestly, do not know another person in this area that has a blu-ray player. The good news is that I don't know anyone with an HD DVD player either...

Default College Student Here

Well, count me in under this topic because I myself am a college student whose spending some "hard-earned" money on Blu-Ray instead of books, writing instruments, etc. However, I dedicated myself to supporting Blu-Ray because I knew it was a smart investment for the present and future although I am broke here and there... lol. Oh yeah, I am currently attending my local community college here in Northeast Florida in finishing up the pre-requisite courses necessary for a transfer to my local University for a major in Physics.

I'm 21 and I go to Plattsburgh state in upstate NY.

I spend a bunch of money on a bunch of other random jazz, so I might as well spend some on the superior high definition movie format

while I'm not going to college...yet...I am taking Real Estate classes at Temple downtown philly...and I won't be going to college unless I can't pass all my real estate classes....

if I can't get all my hours completed and passed before December 31st then I will have to complete a minimum of 2 years of college...

Im in a trade school if that counts and my wife goes to grad school but we still manage to enjoy blu-rays with the little money we have to spend. School loans are a b!i@tch. I go to a trade school and our major is video game development so of course a lot of my school mates are box fans and me being a ps3 fan we get into some deep (harrasing) conversations about hd-dvd and blu-ray.

I'm taking one online class to finish up my associate's degree from the community college in Hastings, NE, but I live in Lincoln. I don't know if that counts since it's only one class, but kinda.

I work full time, go to college part time, and I spend every spare penny on blu. It doesn't hurt that I get tuition reimbursement from my employer.

I bought my first blu-ray player in college (A PS3 last November 2006). I have since graduated in December 2006 and I went to the University of Arizona with a BS in Engineering.

Go Cats! Last night we smacked the Oregon Ducks on National TV. BCS dreams come to die in Tucson, AZ!

I go to Butler, my rents pay for all my expenses, so I don't have to worry about money other than just money I want to spend to do stuff or on movies, or save, or on my fiance. I'm the only one I've seen with a standalone, although I'm pretty sure the person across from has some movies to go wtih his ps3.

Spend your money on books and get the best grades possible my son. You are still young with many great BD years ahead of you. The books and best grades will assure you a bright blu future in the insane world of BD buying. You will be able to afford all of the high-end hardware and software without batting an eye when you whip out the worn credit card. This is your investment and curse my boy. A few short years of doing without to being king of the hill in HD home theater. Of course there is always Christmas and birthdays to get a modest jump on things.
