United Kingdom Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season Two

The second season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is now up for pre-order on Amazon. It's set for a release on 25th October, which is of course the same day as the Alien Anthology and Back to the Future Trilogy box sets, and potentialy Series Five of Doctor Who. That's very annoying because I'm now going to have to decide which one(s) to save for and which one(s) to ask for Christmas.

I personally thought season two was better than the first season, however I did find the absense of Asajj Ventress and Nute Gunray a bit annoying.

Although I don't have it yet, the one thing that really bugged me about the UK edition of season one was that we didn't get the digipack style book, that the US got. All we got was a single amaray case with the three discs and a seperate booklet. I would suspect we'll get the same for season two, but never mind.

Here is the link to the Amazon pre-order page:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Wars-Clone-Season-Blu-ray/dp/B003V1YHAY/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1279631064&sr=1-9

Well as I said I don't have season one yet, however I have come across several copies in my local Cex store and yes the content of the booklet are the same as the digipack book.

I will wait for the price to drop considerably as Alien and BTTF boxsets are priority. Then the Pacific in November as well as all the good realeases this autumn/winter.

I should think so, but I can't say for sure.

I'm a Star Wars fan but I think I'll wait a few more weeks before buying the second season. The egg version of the Alien Anthology is my top priority before it is sold out.

Since there's been no activity on this thread since July it's unlikely anyone here will be interested, but I'll just let you know that's there's also a Season One & Two box set up for pre-order.

Is this series any good, or is just another one of George Lucas's many "money rakes"?

The series is actually really good and far from a GL cash-in. I think a lot of people would say it's better than the prequels and for quite a few episodes I'd agree, and this is coming from a fan who grew up and loves the PT.

The interesting thing is GL comes up with the storylines for every single episode, and then they're handed over to other writers, so you get the best of both worlds: GL's imagination and the writer's excellent scripts, it's a win-win situation.

The film and some of the early episodes are a bit childish at times, but it's quickly diminished so you shouldn't be put of by it.

Then you have the animation which is incredible for a TV show and even though it's animation it still feels like Star Wars.

If you are interested start then start with the movie because that's where the show officialy begins, and then watch seasons one and two.

It's very annoying, but the likely chance is because Season 3 doesn't start in the UK until the end of October, so they'll want to even it out between the US and the UK. Never mind.

I thought it had already started on sky movies or is that later this month - I won't pay for Sky Movies just to see a TV show so was waiting for the Blu-Ray release - oh well - not long to go (again )

Does anyone know if the box set will be the same as Season 1? Because the picture on amazon.co.uk seems to be the digibook version.
I have nothing against digibook, but what was great with the first box set was that the booklet wasn't attached inside.

We can't really tell as yet, but judging by how Warner have treated the UK in the past it'll probably be the same as Season One, rather than the digibook the US is getting.

I wouldn't go by images on Amazon, because the first season looked like it was a digibook, but clearly it turned out to be an average amaray case.

I'd love to have a digibook version but the fact that the booklet is attached bothers me. I like to look at it without having the whole box set in hands ^^

I live in Uk , and on holiday in Miami, just bought seasons 1 & 2, and in season 2 the booklet is separate from the digibook
By the way, do I need to watch the clone wars stand alone movie before I start watching the seasons
