Pirates of the Caribbean Coming Sooner than Later? - Blu-ray Forum

Popped in Pearl Harbor for a bit last night to take a quick glance of the disc. I enjoy the Disney coming soon trailers and wasn't expecting to see a new one, but there it was. Coming attractions of movies listed as Coming Soon to Blu-ray. The thing is, most of the movies shown are already out. Flight Plan, Gone in Sixty Seconds...all out. The highlight was Pirates of the Caribbean. There was the box and it was listed with the others as Coming Soon.

I think we will probably get an announcement at CES.

I hope that means it is coming soon, but the preview has been on BV discs for a couple of months now. But I do think we will see Pirates 1 and 2 announced at CES for a release to coincide with the release of the third movie in theaters.

This was a new preview. Different from the ones that have been on BV discs. The preview only showed the movies listed as Coming Soon, and there were only like 4 or 5 of them. This was for the first movie.

Nice! Hopefully we can all be enjoying this disc very soon. I can't wait for CES.

Speaking of POTC...it will be showing in HD lite on ABC on Christmas night at 8/7 central.
No it will not be BD quality at 720p...but it will give us a tease until the BD comes out.
