Default a2-300 with pio 919

hey guys i purchased these items a while back and even though im happy with them, i just dont feel the way many have described as "earth shattering" bass from the a2-300 LOL. Im sure i have not tweaked the setting right, so if anyone can help with the mcacc in the pio and the a2-300 settings, it would be awesome, thanks

Besides the quality of the subwoofer, placement in the room plays one of the most important factors in receiving good bass sound. Buy a long sub cable from Monoprice and experiment. Sart by putting the subwoofer up front in a corner about a foot or more away from the side walls. A subwoofer in a corner uses the walls and sounds the loudest. If it gets too boomy, move it a little away from the side walls. Another alternative is to use the sub crawl technique to find the best position for your subwoofer. Watch this video.

After you have positined your subwoofer properly, the next thing you must do is calibration and bass management. You have to make sure the subwoofer's level is at least as loud the the other speakers. Also, make sure all the other speakers are set to small in the receiver's menu. Run the receiver's calibration program. Double check the results with an SPL meter. An SPL meter is about $50 from Radio Shack. If you like a little extra bass, it is ok to turn the subwoofer acouple of dB's louder than the other speakers. Read the following threads carefully.

wow buddy, thanks, nice post LOL

i have tried the sub placement test, i find that placing it in the front right side,(in a corner, next to 2 walls) is the best area for the sub. My concern is now with tweaking it with my MCACC, im a noob when it comes to this and i was just hoping someone had the 919 and the a2-300 and could post a how to tweaking this sub to the best of its ability. Thanks
