Rock Band Poll - Blu-ray Forum

I just picked up Rock Band at my local Walmart (unfortunately, probably the only place that had it in stock) there is a shortage most places.

So my question is...did you get it?

They didn't have it out at Wal-mart tonight, but my Gamestop pre-order came in and I'm picking it up tomorrow.

I tried gamestop first, but mine was only getting 2 copies of the PS3 version in...both were already pre-ordered.

I decided to hold out for a while and wait until I am burned out on GH III. I will probably get it eventually though - I am itching to try the drums.

I was just at my Wal-mart and they didn't have any in stock. I was hoping to get the PS3 and see if they would comp me for the 10 free BDs on saturday, but they said no so I'm really sad.

I beat GHIII on hard, and I'm 85% done with expert...I decided to get Rock Band cause I'm having some friends come over. I hope that the issue with the GHIII guitar gets worked out though.

They originally said that it would work with Rock Band (for bass), but now IGN has confirmed that while Rock Band recognizes it as a controller, it doesn't recognize it as a guitar.

The thing I'm irritated about is that there is no place to buy the extra guitar controller. I called a few places and they all say the GH controller will work, but I don't haave GH so I want 2 of the Rock Band controllers. It doesn't look like they'll be available until jan 31st by Amazon.

I had heard that the Rock Band guitar would work with GH, but not the other way around. The RB guitar has extra buttons further up the neck, doesn't it?

I love GH2 and GH3, was not sure I was going to get Rock Band , but I think I might now. Is this still good to play by yourself, or only with multi player?

From what IGN said in their review, it's the best party game they've seen in a long time.

Single player is good, but not as much of an accomplishment or challenge as the Guitar Hero games.

...there's a lot of confusion around it. Originally the GH3 controller would work with the GH1 and GH2 games on PS3...it didn't.

IGN is saying that the Rock Band controller DOES NOT work with GH3, and that the GH3 controller (although we were previously told otherwise) will also NOT WORK with Rock Band.

The RB controller does have extra buttons further up the neck, but they serve the same purpose as the regular buttons, you can use them in solos and such (not sure if it's a requirement to use them in the game or not...I'll find out when I get home today

Rock Band is not out until Dec 20th here in Canada. I live right next to the US border tho, so I may head across next weekend to see if I can find it.

I was irritated about this with GH3 as well...no extra guitars are available for that until something like February. Same deal with Rock Band...not sure when they'll be available.

I read that as well. Still sounds pretty sweet, I think I will pick it up.
