Default Another CNBC Poll on Blu-ray and that other format

Another CNBC poll to participate in. And you have to like the lack of disclosure in the article about the relationship between CNBC, Universal and HD DVD. Nice.

This poll is so bias, everyone knows that HD Fanboys just sit at their computer all day clearing cache and cookies to keep voting...pathetic

I can't believe these things. They are pointless.
I just hope that BD wins out in the end.

Can they actually do that? I mean clearing cookies and things?...I hope the poll is smart enough to at least save the IP address or computer ID or something like that... Anyway, I casted my vote and BLU right now is winning by a slight difference.

Hah, I see Blu winning 50:37 as of 9:25 AM CST. Either some fanboys are doing their damndest, or the Blu-Ray name is as popular as I have always thought it was......

You guys that are voting, do you actually plan on buying either an HD DVD system or Blu-ray system this weekend... or are you just voting to be a fanboy?

I voted for Blu-Ray, but I don't plan on buying one. Consider me speaking for one of the 3+ people I know of who plans on getting a BD Player over the holidays.

Well, as seeing as both of these posts are only 1 or 2 minutes apart, it appears that some of us Blu-ray posters from this forum are just wiping cookies and casting multiple votes.

Honestly who cares about these polls that we already know are clearly biased towards the other side? The PS3 is going to continue to sell like hot cakes so no worries.

I don't have any desire to clear and cast multiple votes. Yes, there have been several posts on this topic in the last few minutes, but if you refresh and look at the number of voters on the poll each minute, people clearly aren't bombarding it.

Acually it won't work. I tried it and it still said the same number of votes were cast.

Actually, if you do it right, it would work.

I think they log your IP so clearing or tossing your cookies wont work.

Best quote:

If you buy "Ratatouille" in high def, you've gotta have a Blu-ray player. If the new high def "Transformers" is your thing, that Blu-ray player on your PS3 is totally useless, you need an HD DVD player.

So if you buy Ratatouille you just need a Blu-ray player but if you want Transformers your PS3 is useless...

So why wouldn't your Xbox 360 HD-DVD player be usesless if you want to have Ratatouille...?

It's funny how the comment about Blu-ray is so negative (i.e. useless PS3), while if you want a Blu-ray movie you just need a Blu-ray player...

She is such a tool!

We are winning 56-34% doesn't really mean very much but it is a good break from work

I doubt they log your IP for a poll like this. If they did, I doubt they would be checking your IP against the log. It's too much overhead for a poll that's not a "scientific poll"
