Default Do you keep the inserts that come with your Blu-ray movies?

Sometimes, those inserts that come with your BDs are so annoying. They're either just ads, promos (expired ones too), and/or that stupid Firmware Update notice.

Do you keep those or throw them away??

Most of the time, I end up throwing them away because they're usually just in the way, especially if it's a 2-disc set. It covers the first disc and it's annoying.

I throw them away unless they have something to do with the movie/series.

same here. If it's a booklet or insert pertaining to the film I'll keep it, generic studio fluff goes in the garbage

80% of the time they are junk that gets thrown away. Every now and then they'll be something you need to keep like the digital copy code insert.

Me too. If it has to do with the actual movie it came in, then I keep it. If it is generic to a particular distributor (or those annoying "Blu-ray is a new format and not all features may play on every device..." yada yada), yeah those get pitched.

A general observation, it seems the slips inside the case are a lot less frequent than they were in the DVD generation. It seemed to me that it was an anomaly when a DVD didn't have one. Now, it's more the anomaly when the blu does have one.

Same here. Everything stays in the case. Even that security sticker that's on the little white cardboard paper.

I tend to keep everything that comes in the blu case, even the digital and dvd copies, though I will never use them. Only time I may throw some of the inserts away is if they get all folded and bent out of shape as they have a tendancy to shift/slide about in the blu cases. I keep all the inserts from my standard dvds also.

I used to keep them, but recently I've started throwing them away. No real reason to keep blu-ray ads in my movie cases

yeah if its specific for the film ill keep it, but ads etc are thrown out. i wish more things came with booklets or something, or at least more studios would print artwork on the inside of the cover.
there was one instance recently where i actually added an insert to a blu-ray. i took that nice little booklet about the Clash of the Titans remake that came with the digibook of the original and put it in the case with the remake.

It drives me nuts to pick up new releases for $20, then open it and see an eco case and not one insert.

I keep item specific things like booklets and digital copy sheets, but notices, ads, and anything included as a security precaution is removed from the case and tossed.
