Australia Psycho? Anyone know?

Does anyone know If they are gonna release Psycho in Australia? I saw some pictures of the UK release and on the disc our 'Rated M' logo was included so I'm guessing it should be coming soon?

But yeah, anyone know If it will come out this year?

Indeed. Your observation is correct. You are more than likely going to get a local release.

I have Universal's release sheets through to November... it does not appear on any of them, but the DVD 50th Anniversary does... so not sure what is happening with this....

I have the UK release, just import it. It'll be cheaper then waiting to buy a domestic release anyway.

I am probably in the minority, but i think the 98 remake was a better experience than the Hitchcock film. I am waiting for that version to be given the Blu-Ray treatment. I feel that Vince Vaughn gives a much creepier performance than Anthony Perkins. My two cents.
Cheers,
Carcuss.

A tutor of mine back in 04 did the sound for that film (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0935984/) he said his kid actually did the classic 'knife in shower' music with one of his toys..

Woah! So I thought they were just selling a UK import but it looks like it's an Australian release? Is it a JB Hi-Fi exclusive or something? Because it's weird that its not on any websites.

Will definitely go pick up my copy this weekend along with Billy Madison! Haha Thanks for the photo

Well it isn't even on JB's website, I have checked Universal's B2B site and it still isn't on there either...so I have no idea...but don't look a gift horse in the mouth

It is a slipcase with normal amaray underneath and booklet FYI

As i said, i am in the minority, but my best mate who is a complete and astute cinephile agrees with me that the remake is the superior film. Vaughn and Heche are far more realistic in the remake. I know it's considered sacrelige to say you like the remake better than an original that is considered a classic. I just got more out of it than i did the original.
Cheers,
Carcuss

Remaking a classic would be like if they were to re-paint the Mona Lisa or The Last Supper.
