Just had to bring this one up. I hope it'll be on BD within a couple years. This is one of my favourite movies. The cinematography in this movie is one of the best of the 90s in my opinion.

Gotta love Paul Newman too as well.

Though Warner Bros. would be the one to distribute it. Not really comfortable with the idea of WB encoding this marvelous-looking film.

So, anyone out there who like this particular movie?

Awesome movie though not one I am rushing to see in high def. I think Tim Robbins idea was the Blu-ray disc.

Great movie! I would love to have this in either Blu or SDVD! Does anyone have the standard DVD and if so, how is the transfer?

I own it on DVD. Great video transfer from what I remember. Maybe not now with all the movies I've been watching on BD. Hee. I'm not sure, but I believe it is in both anamorphic widescreen and full screen. I'll have to check when I get home. Yes, it's a flipper disc. (shudders)

I hate those BUT if I see it cheap enough in a bargain bin, i'll probably pick it up! I'm surprised I never bought it!

that was a wierd, wierd movie, as I'm a fan of wierd movies I would like to see this on BD

it's been several years since I last saw this movie, it's possible I misunderstood the ending but from what I recall it was odd...

This was just on one of the premium movie channels the other night and I caught it. I hadn't seen it in years, and had forgotten how fun this movie is. Very strange... but in that good way most Coens brothers movies are. I would definitely buy this on BD if it came out.

I believe many did not like this because it was supposedly done in a manner of the older comedies in the past.
I saw it with that in mind and i liked it.

Have the HD on D-VHS. Looks ok. Could use a new transfer. There is EE and DNR.
