Bruce Springsteen: The Promise - The Darkness on the Edge of Town Blu-ray

Bruce Springsteen is releasing The Promise, a 2-disc set containing unreleased songs from the sessions that produced his landmark '78 album Darkness on the Edge of Town.

The "full monty" version, The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story, includes a remastered version of the original album, a "making of" documentary, a live video of a 2009 performance of the album and a concert video from the Houston stop on the '78 tour. The video portions of this set are available on either DVD (MSRP $115) and Blu-ray (MSRP $125). If you order from Sony, it includes an exclusive poster and t-shirt.

The Promise (the two-disc set) is available by itself on CD and Vinyl.

The 2nd DVD/Blu-ray also contains concert footage of several songs taken from the studio and stops on the '78-79 tour.

Oh man, sign me up for the big crazy version. This looks even better than the Born To Run box set and that was fantastic.

I'm actually having goosebumps on hearing the news!It's by far my favourite album ever.I've always thought he should have done like Pink Floyd on their Pulse tour,play the entire album live at a concert.Getting the works here.Both the BD and CD box (Unless BD comes with the remastered CD)

Both DVD and BD come with the remastered CD. You only need to get one.

My question: After receiving it, have you discovered it was well worth the $100.00 or do you wish you never purchased?

I got it during the Borders 50% off one item coupon sale on November 24 with another 10% off as a Borders Plus member for $58.50 + tax. It was definitely worth it.
