I just hate how some people and shows keep on winning year after year. At least with movie award shows it's a new movies nominated every year and a new winner every year. With the emmys someone or a show can win 5 years in a row! That's really not fair.
It feels so stale with the same crap every single year. The only time there's new stuff is when the 'acclaimed' and already showered with emmys show goes off the air. I'm not saying the shows or people that win don't deserve it, it's just leave some for someone else. Best example is Lost and Matthew Fox, the show had it's last season so i won't get nominated next year or the year after that. But Mad Men will be there next year, so is Breaking Bad etc.. So why not give the award to Lost this year and continue giving the award to Mad Men until it goes off the air? I know it's all subjective, someone might love Mad Men and hate Lost. So i know it's just my opinion here but it just rubs me the wrong way i guess ![]() |

99.9% of the award winners this year was complete bullshit.
How did Terry O'Quinn not get it for Lost? Are you kidding me??? Let's give it to the kid who sounds funny saying B***h and yo, instead, and had a great addict storyline. That's emmy kryptonite there, they can't resist it. O'Quinn was flat out robbed. |

I thought Jimmy Fallon did a pretty good job. I liked most of the bits, especially the opening number and the tribute to the shows that ended. I thought the Twitter comments were pretty lame though. I was really hoping Conan O'Brien would win just to hear his speech. I've never watched Nurse Jackie but from what I've heard it's a drama (Falco said it's not a comedy when she won) and I wish they'd actually give comedy awards to shows that are funny. I've got no problem with Mad Men winning again. It's season was fantastic.
The third hour of the Emmy's has to be the worst hour in all award shows. Nobody cares about made for TV movies, and in general it's just a one-hour tribute to HBO. The Pacific was great and deserved it's awards but there was no competition so there was no question it would win. I've never met that's seen Temple Grandin, and have no desire to see it myself, but it looks like one of those HBO movies that is made purely to win Emmy's. They should cut some of those awards out of the televised ceremony and show the best guest actor awards instead. |

Jon Hamm should get the Best Actor in a Drama award next year since Breaking Bad's next season doesn't air until next summer and won't be eligible. There will be a lot of new nominees in the Supporting Actor in a Drama series too, as Aaron Paul and the 2 Lost actors won't be eligible. Not sure if Martin Short will be back on Damages either. I don't watch the show so I don't know if his character would be back but he might choose not to return since his wife just died.

It sure was. My wife laughed so hard she cried... especially the Clooney bit.

My wife and I really enjoyed watching the Emmy's this year. Personally, I think Mike O'Malley should've gotten Best Guest Actor over NPH, but people are still riding the NPH love from HIMYM (can't get into that show at all). |

I'm not saying it didn't, I'm just saying the show dragged when it spent 30 minutes continuously honoring it. At the very least I think the Emmy's should mix up when they give awards and not give blocks to each category. It they stick with the current format I would have had dramas last since people actually care about those awards and it might keep viewers watching, as they lost over a million viewers during the final hour. I know that it was getting late on the east coast so viewership was destined to fall but some people might have kept watching if all the drama acting awards hadn't been given out.
