How I met your mother Disc 3 not working - Blu-ray Forum

I was about to watch How I met your mother disc 3 until it wouldnt start up. I have tried so many things. Like turning off the internet. Not allowing bd live. what else can I do to make it work?

You're not alone. I've brought this up several times in the HIMYM season 4 thread (with zero replies) and to this day still can't get them to play. After a firmware update on ps3 a couple months ago, they played for a weekish and haven't played since. None of the discs. I've ran out of ideas too.

I'm pissed off!!! I want to watch it before 4am. And I guess I can keep trying. I tried at least 25x.

I want to watch them too but have yet to figure out how to get them to play without having to rely on lady luck. If you figure something out let me know. I'll try mine again in a bit.

Yeah maybe taking the soul out of my ps3 and crushing it would work.

What is this show all about? It's a shame we get new crappy shows on Blu and not classics like The Wonder Years.

This show is not crappy. Big Bang Theory is crappy. It just sucks I can watch the rest of the season.

The reason why the Wonder Years was never released on DVD or Blu-ray is because the music included in the show is copyrighted. Due to the high cost of securing the music rights, the show has never been released on DVD or Blu-ray.

disc 1 doesn't work for me but the rest do.. the only screen that shows up is the one that says the disc may not work if blu ray is not updated.. but it is.. any solutions?

All 3 discs work fine in my system. I'm using a launch PS3 however, it's a 20GB model from 2006. I've since given it a 250GB hard drive, but nonetheless it's a launch model.

Its a widespread problem, which Sony needs to fix.

There is provided workarounds, which seem to work though. So its not hopeless.
