United Kingdom BD's that you wish you had not bought

My first regretful BD would have to be The Wolfman steelbook.

The steelbook looks okay-ish, but the actual film itself was complete rubbish. It was a blind buy as I had never watched it in the cinema. The original was better, and even that wasn't a great film.

So, what BDs have you bought that you wish you hadn't bought?

Last disliked purchase was Legion. Good blu ray but horrible film. Did a quick exchange.

Kidding right?

Final Fantasy Advent Children. But then again I managed to sell it at a profit so I wouldn't complain.

The Patriot Extended Cut - I hate buying films without extras. Makes me feel short handed but I've sold it.

Of the releases that I still have, probably The Matrix Trilogy. Would have preferred the first one on a digibook, I think.

I love Advent Children and the Matrix Trilogy. I dunno, I may have just been too late on the Thing. Wasn't even kind of scary, bored me to tears and the effects felt like they were done on a TV movie budget.

Star Trek. Great film, great Blu-ray package, but as a steelbook fan, the fact that there was one available on Play.com once upon a time completely passed me by (didn't pay that much attention to them back then, and my copy's in the regular case). Although to be fair, I didn't actually buy it, I got it for a Xmas present from my mother, and she's one of those people who when looking for a certain Blu-ray, will just pick up the first copy she sees regardless of packaging.

Yup, that happened to me too.

I could name half of my collection in this thread, but i'll name the one which always comes to my head: My name is bruce

There are lots of them that i hate, as District 9, Star Trek, Drag me to hell and the like, but at least i've seen them twice to enjoy the AQ&PQ with friends that wanted to see 'em

Out of my small collection, the one Blu-ray I think I could have done without was Blade Runner. I'm not saying I hated the film or it's terrible, it isn't, but it isn't completely my kind of thing and I don't think I'm going to watch it that often, but I will do from time to time since I own it.

I ended up with a massive DVD collection, with many, many movies I knew I'd never watch again. When switching to Blu-Ray, I said I'd never blind buy anything again. I started using Love Film, and now just buy the Blu-Rays of movies I know I'll watch again a few times. The only thing I kinda regret is buying the Matrix Trilogy, instead of just the original movie on it's own.

Now that I'm converting my DVD's to Blu-Ray I'm a lot more picky about my purchases - the only one I regret buying is The Road - not because it's a bad film but it's not a film you'd watch over and over and I should have rented it instead - anyway got it from Sainsbury's for £9 so got a slight profit from it on ebay. Looking at my Blu-Rays now the only other films I don't watch regularly is Astro Boy and the Underworld Trilogy so they may go as well at some point, though being a Nicolas Cage completist Astro Boy will probably stay regardless.

As far as UK discs go, I rather disliked "Valhalla Rising." I might give it another viewing or two; the right mood might make me enjoy it. But it wasn't what I expected at all.

One film I bought and sold instantly was Black Sheep. What a pile of steaming shit that film is.

These are others that spring to mind, but for different reasons.
