France 'Diary Of A Chambermaid' (Buñuel) released on 5th October

Buñuel's 'Diary Of A Chambermaid' is set to be released on Blu-ray in France on 5th October. Here's the Amazon.fr page:

Unfortunately, I would not expect it to have English subtitles. However, it's a Studio Canal release so maybe it will appear on a UK label such as Optimum in due course - or on Lions Gate in the US.

I don't see Lionsgate ever bringing something this obscure to the US market--
even though it is an acknowledged masterpiece.
imo it's a same type of release as "lost honor of katarina blum", which Lionsgate seemingly has no plans to issue in the US even though they have the rights to do so.
It would be interesting to know which entity does have the rights for a US release of this film, as we all know Criterion lost the rights a few months back.
I don't know if Lionsgate has the rights to any Studio Canal release or just specific Studio Canal Collection titles, which this doesn't appear to be.
imo best bet for this film on bd is a UK release.
hopefully that will happen, although this release having English subs that would make things a lot easier.
