November 2nd will be really expensive, I haven't logged in one day and the next thing I know is that Canada gets 20,000 new steelbooks from various stores. FS is not alone anymore...

I'm glad I'm only collecting Canadian steels now but it'll start to get expensive again...

I'm interested in this steelbook but will this have the directors cut?
Also will it be the same transfer as the US release?
I've heard and read posts on this site that Alliance can be so-so with it's releases. Seven comes to mind with the wrong aspect ratio I believe.

Alliance ONLY releases the barebones broadcast versions you are referring to when they are releasing exclusive of the US. After the US release a "proper" version, they release the same discs here. I'm sure Rhylliam is tired of repeating himself, so I'll help him out:

Sin City will be the 2-disc edition with the extended/separated segments, just like the 2-disc US release.

I paid $5.00 brand new for the amray at WM, I think I will hang on to that one... thankfully. If they would have put Jessica Alba on it I could have been
'urged' to upgrade

When Sin City first came out on dvd, they had your choice of 3 limited edition slipcovers you could choose from with 2 characters on each slip, but the actual artwork for the amaray was the same. I'm wondering if there is going to be something similar with this release. They might have different slipcover options to choose from, or dare I say it, they might have 2 or 3 SteelBooks with different artwork on the front of them to choose from. It's been done before with dvd SteelBooks where the same movie is released within one country with 3 different front covers. I am not too happy with this cover, but I'll get it if that is the only option.
