I got one today also... after going to 2 stores.

The first store had approx 10 out but they were all damaged in one way or the other. Scoff marks, scratches, dings, and chipped paint on the spine were what I had to deal with. The second store didn't have them on display so the salesman went into the back to get one out. It only had a dimple on it in the area that's covered by the cardboard on the top.

There's no slipcover. That's the coverart for the ironpack. It also has art on the inside.

Picked mine up today, my Best Buy probably had a little more than 10.

Westbury, LI Best Buy only had 10 and they were on an end cap display. So if ten is the magic number for most stores I'm guessing there won't be too many of this Iron Pack going around.

The quality on this is top notch, beautiful glossy paint and the inside artwork is nice too. I like that the inside spine is metal or has a metal insert attached, which is painted as well. Excellent quality on this.

Funny thing: its not stamped Iron Pack anywhere inside.

Oh and they only have eight now, after I left...

Not surprising, the only steelbook or IronPack I've ever seen with a slipcover is Snow White so far.

same but hey, i rather give these to a home that will care for em and protect them rather than someone who walks into a BestBuy, grabs one and use it as a frisby or chew toy for his kid.

i got 6, one had a ripped plastic so I guess i'll keep that one, i have 2 more waiting for me.

It just seems bizarre to me. I like steelbooks/ironpacks but would never even consider buying more than one copy of any of them. Anything more than one just seems pointless to me. But then again it's probably some sort of hoarding disorder like you say that causes people to buy large quantities of them.

Pickup a few copies 1 for me and 1 for my brother and will trade the other one sometime down the line if my buddy does not want it. My store had about 10 looks like there was 9 left when I got 3 hrs after they open the door.

Most of them have slight tear in plastic or some chips the 3 I got only had some chips on the bottom where it closes.

Been a few weeks since I been to BB was surprised to see alot of Disney Steels out on the racks.

I didnt get these to profit or price-gouge them friend... I got these for my friends from overseas that want 1 but cant get them... I live in a small town, and I doubt anyone cares... besides, if they REALLY want 1, all they have to do is go to the next Best Buy... they told me they should have a bunch... dont assume that everyone that buys more than 1 is being greedy and is out for profit... thats kinda insulting

Macruz and I are on our way to a 3rd bb. So far each has only had 8 and I found 1 without damage at each

most were scratched, dinged or had missing paint on the bottom and spine. We haven't opened them so I don't know what it looks like under the back card.

5 out of 6 are perfect!!!!

the one im keeping got a small ding at the very bottom edge, as if someone stabbed it with a pen.

But other than that I tried the "2 thumbs on the plastic trick" and all the scratches are on the plastic.

*sigh* looks like some of the inventory was damaged from what i have been reading just like the Resident Evil steels.

I guess with regards to the condition of these Ironpacks I lucked out as well... all of mine but 2 look flawless... 1 has an opening in the plastic on the front but there is nothing wrong with the IP itself... its probably just a manufacturing flaw in the wrapping process, because the opening is almost perfectly round... thats the 1 I'm keeping for myself I guess, because I'll be opening it and putting the discs in it after my daughter and I watch the movie... the other imperfect 1 has a small tear in the shrink-wrap on the spine side, and 1 microscopic dot with no paint on it... I'm borderline OCD about my SBs, but a flaw that small wouldnt even bother me

The employees must have picked through them at mine. At opening today, there were only 2 of these to be found, and both of them had a few dings each, and the shrinkwrap was all ripped, so of course, i passed. Oh well, i was only going to try and trade it for an empty "UP" steelbook anyways.

Bought one for myself this morning. On removal of the plastic a few small spots were noticable where the silver underneath showed through. Nothing to get excited about though, although it always amazes me how good shrinkwrap is at hiding imperfections until you remove it! Really you can never assume a shrinkwrapped copy is "mint" unless you unwrap it.

I am one of those who finds it disappointing to see people buying up so many copies that it may prevent others from enjoying one. I hope everyone who wants one is able to get one.

How many do you plan to purchase? I had an opportunity to buy all copies at my local BB but definitely passed on that. Now I'm tempted to because everyone else is.
