Could anyone confirm whether or not the 3 Blu-ray Box sets for "Lark Rise to Candleford" Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are region free?
They are on sale at Amazon.co.uk for ~ 15 pounds each. Season 1 Season 2 Season 3 I looked at a blu-ray region info site and there was a report that Season 1 is region FREE but 50Hz. What does this mean? Will it play on my regular Sony US Blu-ray player or PS3? Thanks! |

This is an OLD thread... but I thought I'd mention that my Sony 4K UHD player (UBPX700) and Sony TV are fine playing these discs.
Also my Oppo BDP-103D playing on a JVC X790 projector it worked well too. My guess is that both player and display have to be compatible - one willing to output and one able to interpret. In case anyone is interested, this is a very good looking transfer, at least from watching the first episode. It's much better than the DVD resolution (which is also interlaced). I'll probably pick up Season 2 and 3 at some point. |
