Default Ati 4870 hdmi out

Is it actually possible to get an audio bitstream, such as True HD or MasterAudio via the ATI4870 video card? I currently have an X-FI video card with 7.1 analog outs.

I would like to bitstream the HD audio codecs to my receiver.

So far I have dowloaded the latest audio drivers from ATI, but get no sound output to the receiver, just the video.

FYI, my video card has dual DVI outputs and my HDMI cable is connected to the video card via DVI-HDMI adapter.

Hi, I'm not 100% sure but I think bitstreaming was enabled starting with the 5000 series cards.
