Hardest Video Games You Have Ever Played?? - Blu-ray Forum

Yo I was looking over some games that I wanted to revisit and came up with some very hard games especially for their time. What would u consider to be the hardest game or games that u have ever played. Also did u beat the game or not? I would have to say my choices would be:

1. Ghost 'n Goblins (NES) - The hardest game I ever played but I beat it atleast once.

2. Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES) - Easily the hardest Mario game in the franchise by far but I also beat it as well.

3. Rygar (NES) - What made this game so hard was it didnt allow saves or a password feature. I also beat this game.

4. Jaws (NES) - This game is hard because it takes forever to kill Jaws. I dont remember if I ever actually killed him either.

5. God of War (PS2) - The hardest of the 3 games in the franchise especially the puzzles. I didnt finish this game.

Notice all but one of my choices are from the NES! Man games were hard back in the day but I loved every minute of it until I threw my controller haha. Got Em!!

haha..some games are hard because the controls suck..
Oni for the PS2 was a lot of fun..but I couldn't get past a certain level..and it was just a few levels away from the end..but the controls for it was really bad..though I have a friend that had it for the PC and said the controls on their was much better..and that the controls were really designed to be played for a PC..so I guess it was a poor port..as usual..lol

aside from that..Demon's Souls for the PS3..started it more than half a year ago...I'll eventually get back to it when I have no more games to play..or when I have a lot of time..since Demon's Souls looks like a long game that will keep me away from trophy hunting lol

This was actually kind of easy once u figured out how to beat each boxer. I mean Mike Tyson was very hard if thats what u meant but the trick to him was lasting the first minute and 30 seconds without being knocked down then it was a fair fight haha. Got Em!!

Double Dragon III
Battletoads
Legendary Wings
Contra Shattered Soldier PS2

I never thought Punch Out was hard once you got the timing down but for some reason I always had the hardest time with Super Macho Man I thought he was harder to beat than Mike Tyson

Yea man I think Ghost 'N Goblins has to be the concensus hardest game ever haha. Thats funny u mentioned Macho Man as he was very easy to me. The hardest to beat in my eyes besides Tyson of course was Mr. Sandman. He sometimes gave me problems. Got Em!!

Yeah I could get to Tyson no problem, but for some reason was never able to beat him.

Yeah Ghosts N Goblins that game was ridiculous hard I don't know how many times I got in trouble for tossing my controller across the room because of that damn game!

Sandman was hard too i had trouble with him every now and then. I will always still remember though fighting King Hippo and punching his fat ass until his pants fell down that was classic

Yea that first minute and 30 was super crucial or it was impossible because he could knock u down with one uppercut everytime until after a minute and 30 seconds. Got Em!!

Man u and me both. I used to get frustrated and I am talking on the first couple of levels haha. King Hippo was classic. Got Em!!

I'm only including games thar are hard, but fair (eg: not Lost Planet 2)

When on the hardest difficulty this is even harder then the above, and harder then any other game I have ever seen:

You can continue in Rygar; I know I did. First time through the game I must've died a hundred times; but I wasn't forced to start over and lose my items/levels.

Hmmmm maybe u could continue but I know for sure u couldnt save your game and it didnt offer a password feature either. I know people who would pause the game and leave it on overnight just so they can keep their spot in the game. Got Em!!

In a weird way I hear u. I mean the easy levels are real easy but when u get far enough it does get insanely hard. I dont even know if I ever finished either or if there is an actually ending or do u just keep playing different leverls haha. Got Em!!

Pac-Man starts out pretty easy but scales up decently. The game is over after board #255.

Donkey Kong is much harder and the game ends about 5 seconds into board #27.

Wow 255 levels on Pam-Man?? Damn thats a lot. Why does Donkey King end like that? U dont get to finish the last level? Got Em!!
