United Kingdom Placeholder Thread

'Scarface: Special Edition' been added to Play and HMV aswell as a normal 'Scarface' also being listed on both:

http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/1...n/Product.html
http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct...;-1&sku=384638

Maybe a SteelBook or something different?

makes sense that this might finally be coming.
I mean Universal needs to release all the great catalogs that weren't on HD DVD at some point right?
might as well start with one that will sell a few copies.
that said, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" had a placeholder with bd artwork on Play.com like a year and a half ago I believe, and it never showed up.
so who knows.

Default Placeholder Thread

Having noticed a lot of people getting annoyed at threads being made for only placeholders of Blu-ray titles, I thought it might be an idea to start a thread for them all. If you see a placeholder listed for a title that you think some might be interested in, post it here, and you can discuss things like the film itself, or what you think, or hope, the Blu-ray quality will be like and what the overall disc will include in terms of bonus features.

This thread could be a complete and utter failure, but I thought I'd give it a try.

Another bloody palaceholder. They're never reliable, I placed one for 'The Expendables' and I got the notification 48 hours after it came up for pre-order. Not to mention Inception, the notification never arrived. Thanks to this board that I even heard that these two titles were available for pre-order.

Anyway I'll keep a closer eye on this board, Scarface is a film I would really love to see on Blu-Ray, all those horrid colours and the sounds of chainsaws and coke snorting will sound will be amazing on blu ray.

Would love for this to get a commentary track this time around. And although I am a fan of hip hop; please no more docs about 'how Scarface influenced hip hop.'

I think the 'Placeholder Thread' is a good idea

But I dont understand the sudden hate for posting about new placeholders, as most of the time it means a pre-order is probably around the corner (specially when it says something such as 'Special Edition' etc).
And I have seen literally loads of threads made here with just links to placeholders, and up until just recently I havent seen people complain.
