Default Comcast - New Format, AWFUL!

So, Comcast just put out their new format for cable TV.... Does anyone hate it as much as i do? I'm seriously contemplating leaving Comcast for something else....

Do people actually like what they've done?

Just switched to DirecTV, used ComCast for years, what did they do to their set-up that's so horrible?

You might want to explain what Comcast just did in your area. Comcast has many systems across the country, they're not all the same. Nothing has changed on Comcast here in Albuquerque for example (as of yesterday anyways).

ok, my biggest problem lol is that on the old system... when you wanted to scan through the channels while watching something, you would hit the up or down arrow and it would scan.... not if i hit the up or down or any arrow, it is the DVR buttons (Fast Forward, Rewind, Live etc)... that is my biggest problem right now as the remote has buttons for fast forwarding etc...

i also dont like the new scanning feature they did... in the past, it was a single bar at the bottom... you hit the UP arrow and it went up through channels... now if you hit up it scans through lower channels...

I have not seen anything drastic yet.

They did seem the change the way my DVR operates a few months ago. Same show episodes now go in their own folder, auto-backup a bit when you stop fast-forwarding, etc.

do you have a double bar when scanning through channels now? i believe mine also does the auto backup when fast forwarding which is nice though...

Time Warner added that auto-backup when fast-forwarding thing a couple of months ago in my area too. I hate it.

Me too. It also auto FFWDs if you are fast rewinding. It makes it harder to hit the exact spot you want unless you're only doing the slowest speed in either direction.
