Default how to track my topics?

I can't seem to find a way to find which topics I've written something in my profile, I can access the recent topics I've looked at but it doesn't sort the one I've writen in, is it possible?

Are you wanting to see the threads you've posted in? I'm not sure I understand, but you can make subscriptions of the threads you're interested in.

Default Why can't I start a new topic?

I want to start some new threads, but everytime I click on "New Thread" a screen comes up saying that I am not allowed to use that option. One of the reasons given is that sometimes new users can't start threads. Is there a "probation" time period you have to go through? I have seen other people start posts with a very low thread count, why can't I?

Any help is much appreciated!

You are a noobie and need to post more in regular forums before you can start a new thread.
Look around and use the search tool, you are likely to find the answer to what you were going to post anyways.

You can look at your recent posts by clicking on your name and on this screen and a menu will pop up, then choose "Find more posts by (insertyournamehere)".

We get trolls here, so that's part of the reason why. But as Cpt pointed out, there are tons of topics that have already been brought up and discussed, but you could add your opinion to those existing threads and continue those discussions.

Welcome, BTW!
