Default Pioneer SR/Control on Receiver-need help

Pioneer:
VSX-1019AH-K Receiver
CLD-980 LaserDisc player
PD-F407 25 CD changer

I have other components would that effect anything?

I have used the CD changer and the Receiver in the SR/Pioneer control system for a few days/weeks and I tried today to hook up my LaserDisc player which now everything locked up and does not work including the remote. I can only turn on and off the receiver.

I have done the following:

CD IN->LD OUT-> Receiver IN-> CD OUT-> Receiver OUT- LD IN
Also:
CD IN/OUT->Receiver IN/OUT

I have not tried LD IN/OUT ->Receiver IN/OUT I'm afraid it doesn't work either.

With and without the 3.5mm Mono Cables:

LD-> Receiver DVD IN
CD-> Receiver CD IN

In your Pioneer receiver's manual, it probably says how to do those right SR connections between your components (Synchronize Remote operation control).

* Now, try this: Disable the "KURO Link" feature in your receiver (also called HDMI CEC).

thanks.

really weird I've never even touch Kuro link before.

It shows its off.

Its working fine now but I can't seem to register the CLD-980 but the PD-F407 was rather easy. I've tried both codes and nothing seems to work.

If I get a harmony remote or some other remote can I use this setup between Pioneer devices?

With a Universal Harmony remote control (the 550 can be had for less than $50), you'll be in HEAVEN!
...It will do all those operations under the "Activities" feature, and will do much more...
And all your components with all their functions should be included in the Logitech Harmony data base.
An Harmony remote: Highly Recommended. It will make your life happier.
