Love this film. Deffinatly worth an import.

Is this likely to be region free? who is the studio?

All WB releases in the US are region free.

I am hoping for a healthy bit rate for the film. WB's can really waste disc space. Fingers Crossed.

hands down my favorite movie of all time, one of the few DVD's that wasn't a TV show I decided to keep.

Lame that they get digibooks but classics like The Maltese Falcon, The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre, Once Upon A Time In America, 2001: A Space Odyssey ect. won't/didnt get one

'The Color Purple' will be a release week purchase for me. I will violate my own $20 limit rule for this title if I have to. The ONLY other movie I was willing to violate that rule for (but didn't have to) was 'Inglourious Bastards'.

I personally feel that 'The Color Purple' is Speilberg's best movie. And, in discussing this title with friends today, it is amazing how many of them haven't seen it.
