I tried shoes with my DFGT once. The pedals didn't provode enough support to hold the weight. So now I use socks. Slippers might work well, but I don't own any.

Good question! I've recently started playing GT5P using the G27 wheel and pedals. Perhaps some drumming shoes, such as the ones found here http://www.drumshoes.com/index.html would work. Or, how about the thin black Chinese slippers that people wear? Those might work well, too.

I owned these when I was racing my Dodge Neon.

They are some comfortable shoes.

But look who races in his socks.
