Default Why is Weinstein Company listed ?

I went to do a quick search for some movie reviews and noticed that at the bottom of the page Weinstein Company is listed.

It says zero movies under titles but why would it be listed there when they are dud exclusive. Am I missing something here or or they switching?

DO YOU MEAN THIS? https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?studioid=10
Universal is also listed there.
Unfortunately, I doubt it means anything.

I don't know why they are listed. They have released 0 movies to Blu-ray and were supposedly HD DVD exclusive. However, they do not have any discs planned for release on HD DVD and seem to be backing out of it. They can see that there is more money to be made on Blu-ray and it looks like they may go neutral. But they are such a small company compared to the others that it will have no effect at all. Maybe they listed them in anticipation of their Blu-ray releases?

I was at WalMart the other day & I cant for the life of me remember the name of the HDDVD movie but on the back it said Weinstein Company , I had herd they were HDDVD exclusive but never saw a movie any where from them! Its just a company that HDDVD tries to use to make it look like they have more Studio's...SAD!

The only Weinstein title I am aware of that is/will be Blu is Stranglehold that comes with the PS3 game.

You know they might have those titles, but 1 or 2 good titles will not affect the format war. Plus they know if they release them, the BD will sell better. I have heard nothing about any future releases from them, they seem to have gone silent.

They have Sin City 2, Grindhouse, Lucky Number Slevin, 1408, Elite Squad, all movies I want on Blu Ray. Sin City is actually Miramax (Disney), Miramax also has a crapload of movies I want on Blu: Pulp Fiction, City of God, Sin City, etc..

technically it is on Blu-ray, but not a Blu-ray movie. It is on a Blu-ray game.
So..... shady ground.
