If you are thinking BOGO, I don't think Disney will include this as one of the offerings for a few months. They are going to want to make as much money as they can first. They aren't going to be offering it as a BOGO say, next week when Bourne Unltimatum comes out next week. It is offered at Target with a $10 gift card if you purchase one of the other Pirates movies with it. I wonder if Amazon is going to be that sale too, like they did with Ratatouille and Cars and Pixar Shorts.

i saw superbad, it was really funny so i'm getting that tomorow...i have a feeling POTC3 will be long and boring but beautiful as far as PQ/AQ...POTC2 wasn't the best film..the beach scene where the monsters fight reminded me of a power rangers episode..anyways, still getting POTC3, need to finish this trilogy...

in conclusion, get superbad first

For the movie itself: Superbad by far
For the Bluray experience: POTC3 by far

Pirates of The Caribbean 3 for sure. It's definately a movie you'll watch several times because of PQ and AQ. I wouldn't say that of Superbad. Probably a good movie but not one you'll have your buddies over to watch if you're introducing them to Hi-Def Blu Ray.

I'd go with Superbad. I'm not show how available this movie is going to be. POTC I'm sure you will not have a problem finding in the future.

I'm going with Superbad because I have no desire to own the 2nd or 3rd POTC movie right now. Plus my collection needs a comedy title.

Superbad = Supergood

Both Pirates sequels were weak compared to the first in the trilogy.

See I'm one of the few that liked the last two Pirates films over the first one. I would pick pirates 3 also simply for the completion of the series and it will look and sound incredible. My wife wasn't too happy about the ending but I appreciated the fact that it wasn't your typical "Disney ending".

Buy both.

If an extra $30 is going to break the bank, then you have bigger issues than deciding what BD to buy.

I'd go with Pirates.

This may be due to demographic too. I saw Superbad in the theatres, it was good, but for me there was no point in seeing it again, because most of the jokes lost their shock value.

If you've never seen Superbad, or you're the demographic that will laugh at the jokes over and over again, then get Superbad.

Nobody said $30 was going to break the bank... I just have this compulsive need to throttle my spending sometimes.

By superbad on SD DVD and get PoTC 3 on BR. PoTC with the lpcm audio is gonna be sweet!! Superbad doesn't have anything special about the sound and you don't need top notch video for a regular comedy.

I will be buying both, but telling my wife I'm only buying one. Not that im scared of her but she already complaining i have 10 sealed bds i have yet to watch and i bought 5 on ebay this week. If i had to buy one i would go with POTC since i already have 1 & 2 to complete the set.
