you'll both be happy to know that when i rented Requiem for a Dream last night i also rented all 3 Godfather films, The Omen, and Atonement (i know i didn't mention it on the list but i hear good things and have wanted to see it for a very long time).

You have a few pleasant nights (or one really exhausting one) ahead of you.

One suggestion - don't make a nine hour marathon out of the Godfather trilogy. Watching the first two back to back is fine but let the first two percolate a little bit before moving onto the third one.

And Atonement is very good, btw. It starts really slow (which doesn't usually bother me) but I'm really glad I gave it a chance because once you get a feel for what they're doing it's a very nice ride.

Yea ID4 was a disappointment for me when i saw it at the theater. but it now has a massive nostalgia rating for me (this seems to add enjoyment )..i was 16 when i saw it I am twice that age now

. I actually enjoy the odd watch of it. ID4 is generally a lot better than most of similar ilk released today..One of Roland Emmerich's better tittles. Your Subwoofer will love you for the experience too, if that is any incentive

. Starship Troopers was another one of my teen appreciation movies aswell that didn't fare to well over here (my country).

anyway on topic, I can only think of a few tittles such as "Halloween" from 78 "Scarface", i saw a clip of Pacino's forced accent, that determined it's fate hehe.

Have never seen any of "the Godfather" films...I read the Puzo novel, and have to admit that, while well written, the story didn't captivate me enough to bother seeing any of the movies.

Also, why would someone wait for the price to go down before blind buying a movie they have never seen? When you can just rent it.
