That's exactly the sort of sleeve I was looking for. Because the bottomless one from protected didn't protect the bottom of Steels from getting scratched whilst being on the shelf.

Do you know how much they cost?

I'm pretty sure you can't buy the sleeves by themselves. They only come with the iron pack. Too bad all steelbooks and iron packs don't come with them.

Mine arrived and I'm more than happy with them, yeah its a shame the bottoms not covered but I think they're still better than the clear baggies we all use..

I've got one of the guoduo ones and while they do offer better protection, ie on the bottom, I think they're spoiled by the red printing on them.

Kynch guoduo not for sale for your consolation protected.de slip height is a little bit bigger than the SteelBook.. so there is like 1mm left on top and 1mm on the bottom.. so basically the SB doesn't touch the ground.

vikingsmudge43 give the guoduo one to me

protected.de should look into making hard plastic sleeves like Guoduo
Maybe add a small block made in foam inside bottom. Ensures better protection?

I'm still looking for the best protection for my steelbooks and Guoduo's is the close alternative, best one I've seen so far but red printings scare me away from buying. (And shipping cost?) =P

Instead of red, Guoduo should change the color to white or gray like 30% opaque? If change occurs, sales might improve.

For jumbos, there's only few steelbooks made in that size like Up, Monsters Inc, and LOTR. Guoduo/protected.de should consider making ones for jumbos but I'd not prioritize them since there's not many, so it'd be proper to have some kind of special order.

I don't think Guoduo sell sleeves separately.

Well, according to other users, it seems true... Guoduo should reconsider selling them standalone. It would be lovely. Our SBs needs to be tended gently and well taken of. =P

I wish they would sell them by themselves too. As far as the red Guoduo lettering goes; it doesn't bother me that much, even though I would prefer it was blank. You can always turn the sleeve around.

i finally got my shipment of 300 protective sleeves from germany. here are some pictures. the sleeves are snug but not too snug. in fact, i was able to keep the paperbacks. even my hurt locker korea sleeve fit with a little extra effort! let me know if you want some. 85 cents each plus shipping/paypal fees.

edit: i am now sold out of sleeves. please let me know if you would like to be part of the next group buy.

Question: how come this picture show coverage for the bottom and top of case? I prefer this one.... I don't like the fact that there is a hole on the bottom as I have a feeling it might fall if I grab it off from the shelf.

the lighting in that pic is playing tricks on your eyes. the bottom and top of the clear slipcover is open. you can slide the steelbook up or down to take it out.

you're right hehehe...wow....

They should make one where you can slide it from the side instead of the up and down. I don't like it up and down unless I put it on the bottom. It is too easy to come loose if you are not careful.

I have a tin case Gears of Wars in a plastic cover like above and it keeps falling off when I grab the game from the shelf...very fustrating...

yes i agree a slipcover with only the side open. that's a great idea. so when it is on the shelf, the spine looks like it is not in a slipcover at all.

hmm i think i'll just keep using the clear bags until something better comes down the line. Those plastic ones are cool but more like just a slipcover and that is fine for regular blu rays... not steelbooks that can be easily damaged.

Just got my haul of clear plastic slipcovers from protected.de. Off of their ebay shop. I would recommend them, to anyone who uses their steelbooks and want some protection. As you just slip them over the steel. A few people have been asking, whether or not the steelbook slips out. Well they are a very snug fit and should not be a problem if you handle them with care . Below are a few sample pics:

As most people on this board treat SteelBoooks like the Magna Carta, I'm surprised they'd ever have the opportunity to ever get damaged

Only the bottom and and top are exposed, even then, with an overlap you'd have to be handling them with little care to mark them.

Just my thoughts
