Now that Blockbuster is all but finished, do you think that will give companies such as Netflix more pull to tell the studios that they want to have new releases as they are released with no delay. Correct me if I am wrong but from what I gathered-
1) Studios asked rental places to pay more for rental disks or wait 28 days to try to create more new release sales. 2) Blockbuster paid so they can try to take back some ground from Netflix / Redbox. Blockbuster was the only chain to do so. 3) Netflix opted to not pay but instead paid for more rights to stream movies. 4) Blockbuster is history. Any thoughts? It would be great to have new releases as they are released again. |
