I really liked the movie though, much better than Get Him To The Greek.

It's not his typical role, though I thought the movie was very good and Hill was good in it. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

This movie was fantastic, much much better than all the Judd Apatow style comedies that are out there now. Surprised there hasn't been more discussion or excitement about this release. One of, if not my most favorite comedy of the year.

Seems like Cryus was not a well know movie. Never got a chance to see it in theaters. Looks like it might be a blind buy for me.

$22.99 at Target and 34.99 at Best Buy!

I really adored this truly underrated film that got excellent reviews (check Rottentomatoes and Metacritic...) I will not buy it thanks to the price cut at Target.

I liked the movie better when it was called "Step-Brothers"

Obviously very reminiscent and parallel with "Step Brothers", but I thought "Cyrus" was pretty average. Not laugh-out loud hysterical, the amateur-ish camerawork didn't seem inspired, and I don't think it really showed enough in story, comedy, or character to sustain my interest even for the short runtime.

But again, personally I prefer Apatow comedies compared to mumblecore.

Can't say I see the connection to Step-Brothers beyond the casting, the entire tone of the film is completely different.

I think the casting might appeal to people while the movie won't, a friend of mine hated every second of it while I found it every bit as good as I was hoping. The key 'issue' is that the trailer attempts to sell it as a comedy, when it's a drama with funny elements to it. If you can get over this (I find it's getting easy to spot the films that are being missold in previews) and you like dialogue driven, character based stories then Cyrus is a great watch.

This movie was interesting but super awkward for several reasons.. it kind of alluded to something going on that maybe didnt really materialize.

What reaaaally felt off to me was the constant zooming in like it was the office or something! it made it way too much like a TV show production and not a real movie
