How much is the WalMart version going for?

(Tried to call 2 stores but nobody answered - it's 9:30 so I think they're doing their usual "Hype up the team!" meeting

)

How come WM doesn't have a single-disc version of this movie for $19.96?

I think the "others" were from another studio - one that does the "Limited time offer!" deal on the BLU+DC (after the first pressing, it's Blu-only - also loses the slipcover), whereas Predators (which I think is Fox) has the digital copy standard on all copies.

Walmart basically got a shipment of the Blu-only versions of those movies and marked them down a bit - normally those sell for full price and it's just a "You snooze you lose" situation where you missed on the bonus (similar to Evil Dead, which now ships without the bonus-features DVD)

Yeah it probably has to do with the studios, but since I've seen WM advertising single-disc exclusives. That this was going to be some kind of new trend.

Any word on something more important such as the overall PQ and AQ?

I saw this in theaters and found the PQ to be quite blurry. Perhaps it was just the theater screen/projector but i'm hoping that the blu-ray will look a lot sharper.

Any info would be appreciated. Hopefully bluray.com gets a review up asap. I'd like to pick it up today after work.

As for PQ and AQ. I'm sure it "can" be reference material. It's a Fox title so they have good transfers.

I did find Predators a little blurry also when I watched it in theaters so I'm sure the transfer will look good on bluray.

Ok so i'm not the only one who also found Predators very very blurry in theaters. I was really surprised actually - my first though was wow, i hope the bluray disc isn't like this.....and that's before i even finished watching the movie lol.

Haha! The beginning was horrible, though it could of been my vision because I went to the midnight showing and I was tired.

I'm going to watch it this evening and I'll leave some feedback if I remember.

Don't tell me the whole movie is going to be dark just like in Alien vs. Predator. Thats one of the reasons I turned it off early and never watched it again. I've already rented Predators from Blockbuster.

From what I remember. It has a good portion of the movie in day time (Forest Scenes) Hope this helps.
