Default Format question

I have a 3D tv and was looking at a movie on timewarner "free" and I had two images , one on top and bottom. I called the place were I got the tv and he said ask timewarner what format they were using, checkerboard or side by side. And none of the tec's I talked to knew. Does anyone know???

There's a top/bottom 3D display, a side by side and a checkerboard. What TV do you have? Check the manual or search online to see which ones your TV supports.

My tv use's the checkerboard, it's the wd 73838 by Mitisubishi.I got a reply from timewarner that must have read how to use my tv because they send me a answer from my book how to use 3d,yet they didn't answer my question,what format do they use.

I don't think the DLP's support anything but checkerboard.

I talked to the guy who sold me my tv and he told me if I got the 3d starter pack and I said yes and he told me that the emmitter that comes with it will let me get all the signals. I guest I will have to set this up again and hope I get it right this time. PS. It makes sense that the emmitter will do that, why sell it just to send one signal?
