Default Amazon is on the Ball!

Wow...I must say that amazon has stepped up on it's speed.

I'm guessing for the holiday season.

I've made 3 orders this week (6 titles from the BOGO and also POTC - AWE) using Free Shipping

2 of the orders I got shipping notifications within 4 hours and the 3rd order I got a shipping notification the next morning.

This is a huge improvement from my last 3 orders or so, when it took literally a week to get a shipping notification.

Keep this up Amazon and we'll be best friends again!

I kinda suspect that it's the BOGO that is mainly driving this swiftness. I have other orders that don't seem to be treated with the same speed. In fact, when I had POTC-AWE paired with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang before the BOGO, that order wasn't supposed to ship until next week. When I shifted each title around and paired each with BOGO titles--wham--they each shipped immediately! Curious.

However, I could be all wet and it's solely because amazon.com has already geared up for the holiday order snarl with additional staffing, and we're now benefitting from that move.

I ordered about 8 titles last night, and my order shipped today. Amazon has really put more effort since the last few weeks to get everything delivered by Xmas

At least you guys are getting your stuff within a week. My order has yet to reach here and it has been a month!

They kicked up the speed because of the Christmas season. They probably hired temporary extra holiday help, and they want to be able to get all of their customers their items by Christmas.

Starting 12/26 they will be back to normal.

Ratatouille. I really don't know why it takes more than 6 weeks to ship here. It takes two weeks to ship packages internationally. The package has been sent already, in case you are wondering. I really don't know what kind of postal service they are using for international packages.

Can't see any speed increase on my end. I bought 4 during the BOGO this past Tuesday and my order still says "Shipping Soon" with an estimate of 12/10.

Amazon got so bad about getting stuff to me that I cancelled my pre-orders and I'm now buying from Moretonbay. Much better speed and service. I actually got my titles on Tuesday this week. Amazon has never managed to do that. In fairness I should note that Prime is not available to us up here in the frozen North.

That's one thing I don't like about Amazon. Their shipping sucks big time.
I ordered Spiderman game for my PS3 with free shipping. It took 4 days and order still show not ship yet. I ended up cancelling it and got it from Target instead. Sometimes I would get an email that your ordered has been shipped and I already got the product a month ago.

But I did take advantage of their buy one get one free BD movies though.
I just couldn't resist the good deal.

I agree with you so I cancelled HP 1-5 with them and ordered it from wherehouse.com, just checked my order and it says shipped for only $84.00 that's with shipping included.
