Default Don Bluth films on Blu-ray???

I've recently gotten re-aquainted with a couple of Don Bluth films through Netflix (Anastasia and The Land Before Time) and was wondering if any of his animated films are available on blu ray.

I must say I had never seen Anastasia before and I was completely blown away by this movie! The story, the music, the characters, the absolutely GORGEOUS animation that rivals any Disney film! It was just a great movie from beginning to end! I really want this on blu ray!

The Land Before Time was of course a very cute film full of great characters (has there ever been a cuter voice than the one for "Tucky" the big mouth dinasoaur?)

Then of course there the wonderful Secret of Nimh, An American Tale, and the underrated Titan AE.

Does anyone know of Bluth's plans for these great films on blu ray?

Bought Anastasia a few years ago when it was cheap on DVD. "I loved this film ten years ago, wonder if it's just as good as back then." It is. I think that these films getting the blu treatment is quite small. Sadly enough.

Yeah I know many think The Secret of Nimh is Bluth's best, however I believe it's Anastasia! It's just.....perfect! The animation is flawless. The combination of traditional 2d and 3d animation is beautiful! The story is great! The characters are wonderful. The music is beautiful!

I hate that Bluth retired after Titan AE because I loved the direction his animation studio was going in.

Yeah Secret of Nimh is okay but kinda depressing, but not as sad Watership Down.

I especially hope Anastasia gets a Blu release, as the DVD was non-anamorphic and as such looks even worse blown up on a larger television.

His ground-breaking video games - Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp, and Space Ace - are all on Blu-Ray.

I actually think I like Anastasia more than any of the Disney princesses, not sure though. I am amused that a lot of people seem to think Anastasia is a Disney movie.

I'd buy The Secret of NIMH the instant that MGM puts it out...

The full versions of the games are available as apps on the iTunes store. I grabbed it when it was on sale for a couple of bucks and it totally brought me back to my middle school days. A perfect port.

As for BD, If they bring out another, I'd guess it'd be An American Tail

You REALLY would rather that than actually owning one of the arcade games?

And the justifiably underrated "A Troll in Central Park" and "Thumbelina", which seem to have slipped out of Warner's grasp and back into public domain (although Fox/MGM still seems to have a grasp on "Pebble & the Penguin").

Something tells me we'll get those in some form or another long before we get Titan AE.

I believe Jeff Kleist said there's a chance we could get Titan AE in the near future, it is amazing how much that movie has grown on me over the years.

Titan AE would make a fantastic tv series or live-action movie. I loved that movie and still own it.

Yeah, I would. I'm not a big enough fan to devote the money and space for it.

Yeah same here. Besides the choice of using Drew Barrymore's voice (I can't stand her), I love this movie! Yes it borrows from just about every other sci fi movie that came before it but so what? If it works, it works! I loved it!

Wasn't The Secret of NIMH already remastered in HD for the DVD reissue? Surely that could be released fairly easy, then? Frankly, I'd prefer Special Editions of the majority of his work, but that probably won't happen. Maybe Bluth needs to involve Spielberg, who produced many of his movies, to make sure there's some interest in them.

Back to the Future was remastered in HD for DVD in 2008, just because there was an HD remaster doesn't mean we'll get the movie any time soon.
