Why See Movies Multiple Times

Even during the 1980's, if you wanted to see a movie even twice in theaters, that may have ment that there were no other good movies to see (in your own opinion)... And in recent decades, having to wait an average of 4-6 Months for the VHS/DVD releases, and now with Blu-Ray/3D releases, that wasn't in the cards for you... However, with theaters showing IMAX and 3D tech movies, we can all imagine or expect that multiple viewings may forever be "What We Ask For" when we see a good thing comin'

and YES... as a movie-buff... I HAVE saved movie stubs before (and still do )... and maybe this is why lol

I saw Avatar one and a half times. The first time I saw it the movie had been out for a full two weeks so I expected to be able to walk right in without getting there super early. I was wrong, and I ended up having to sit in the front row, and got sick from being at such a weird angle with the 3D effects and such. I ended up leaving the theater about halfway through, and saw it a second time because my friends all wanted to see it.

I never watched any other movie more than once in theaters. The funny thing is that I didn't even like Avatar all that much, I certainly wouldn't have seen it a second time if I made it to the ending the first time.

wow.

i will be keeping tabs and monitoring if any of you ever b*tch about a double dip on a film, if you do you're opinion will be less than worthless. if you can see the same film in theaters more than once than you have no right to ever complain about a company re-releasing a film

not saying any of you have or will, but just saying, i'll be watching...

I watch too many films twice to name since I usually see big tentpole releases once with my family and once with friends. As for movies with three viewings or more...

Three Times
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers*
Iron Man*
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull*
The Dark Knight*
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Thor*
Captain America: The First Avenger*
The Avengers

Four Times
Alice in Wonderland
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1*

Five Times
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

* Indicates that the third (or in the case of Harry, fourth) viewing was actually part of a marathon. Upon their initial release, films marked with an asterisk were only seen twice (or, in the case of Deathly Hallows: Part 1, thrice).

only movie ive seen more than twice is The Dark Knight, i saw it the first three weekends it was out.
saw Iron Man and Incredible Hulk twice (with different people)
saw Watchmen twice because the projector got screwed up during certain scenes and we were issued free passes to see it again.
i rarely go to the movies so for me to see anything to begin with is pretty rare let alone more than once. as you can see its usually comic book movies that can actually get me out of my house to the theater and not much else.

actually now that i think of it i think i saw Jurassic Park twice

Just a hunch, but is it safe too assume you´re a Star Wars fan?

Also... Phantom Menace 15 times!!!

I´ve seen The Dark Knight 4 times at the theatre. Jurassic Park and the LOTR trilogy 2 times each.
