United Kingdom Disturbia UK Version Questions

Now that I have a sound system that will make a big difference depending on if it's a Blu-Ray codec or a DVD codec, I want to upgrade my US Blu-Rays to other country's that have better PQ/AQ.

I looked at the ratios posted on each page for the US Blu-Ray and the UK Blu-Ray for Disturbia. I notice that the US Blu-Ray fills the entire screen while the UK Blu-Ray has a different aspect ratio, Im guessing that has the black bars. However, the UK Blu-Ray does have the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track, while the US release just has DTS and Dolby Digital.

Is the UK import worth getting over the US version? Is How are the PQ and AQ compared to the US release? Please let me know asap. Thanks.

UK/Aussie/German release is handled by Parmount. Same video encode (thereby same ratio) and extras as US. Comes down to how important the lossless audio is to you.

The ratios on Blu-Ray.com's pages state different aspect ratios for the US than for the UK. Lossless audio definitely is important to me (more aggressive, better bass, more clear). Thanks for the response.

If anybody else has any other input, feel free to post.

Pretty sure the blu-ray.com specs are incorrect. Wouldn't be the first time. Uk is the same disc as Australia/Germany, which the cinemasquid listing shows to be 1.78:1, and literally the same encode as US. Even if the UK disc is 1.85:1, the two are so close there's virtually no difference.
