Scrooged in HD on AMC; where's the Blu?? - Blu-ray Forum

During Walking Dead last night, they aired a commercial for Scrooged airing soon. And just from the commercial, it looked beautiful.

It's never been released on blu yet, and the DVD transfer is really quite horrible.

So if there's apparently an HD master out there, why didn't they release it on BD in time for the holidays? Has anyone heard anything?

Probably because it's Paramount, they're being pretty stingy with their catalog of movies.

If you haven't watched it on AMC this week, do yourself a favor and watch it (and record it to watch over and over and over). It's airing like twice a night all week long.

The film has never looked so good. If I can't have a blu of it, at least I have this HD version - a giant step up from that VHS-quality DVD they put out.

Back when all dvds had to have stupid titles, Paramount announced a special edition dvd called Scooged: Yule Love It! that unceremoniously got shelved. So, they don't seem to care too much about the film.
But, no question it would be cool to see this get released. With no announcement by now, Christmas 2011 is likely the earliest this gets considered unfortunately.
