Why are we still waiting for a T1 Blu-ray release here in the UK?
We have T2, T3 and T4, but not the original T1 ![]() Anyone know why this has yet to be released, and who owns the distribution rights to T1 in the UK now? |

Play.com have a place holder for all 4 films to be released as a boxset, so hopefully this means one day all movies will be getting a new transfer.

DVD wise MGM released The Terminator, Studio Canal (Momentum) T2, Columbia Tristar (Sony) Rise of the Machines ands Sony, Salvation. I think the boxset is what's called 'working together' for cash.
Shame no The Terminator yet it had a great bassy soundtrack/effects... |

The North American release will play on any Blu-ray player.
If you're a fan of The Terminator you should have bought it by now. It's dirt cheap: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000F9RB http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/pro...ducts_id=32843 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B000F9RB9Y/ http://www.axelmusic.com/productDetails/027616151285 http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...tem_id=1070110 No excuse! Review https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-T...ay/117/#Review It's a great transfer and worth getting before they DNR it to death for the dumbsquad. |

I got mine for $8 in WalMart in Florida last year without even knowing if it was region locked or not, was well worth the punt.
PQ wipes the floor with previous dvd versions. Be prepared for grain and the effects looking even less realistic now everything is so clear ![]() |

For big The Terminator fans mind ther's also a re-release with a slipcase and lenticular.
![]() Same disc (and ISBN) but it's a nice bonus having a bit of lenticular ![]() It's no more expensive and most places don't know the difference as it is sometimes overlabelled (and ignored) with the code M113882. Where I got mine from it's $15 and they have one in stock but I ain't posting it here. PM me. Everywhere sells it like I said but they just don't know what the difference is so if you struggle to get one eBay would be the best. I'll post the link of where mine came from once that one is out of stock (they always get more in). I normally post links but I wouldn't want some lurker to pick it up! ![]() |

The stop motion of the "naked" terminator towards the end of the movie are going to look so bad on blu, I'm not worried about this one. T2 and Salvation look the business tho.

Yes, this film is not Shrek 3D or Avatar. Although I heard Cameron is rebooting T1 and issuing 3D glasses in an 18 disc collector edition with all that stop-motion rubbish CGI'd with the assistance of George Lucas and his CGI Ranch Team™ and you'll be able to plug the Blu-ray into your iPhone too. John Connor will also have blonde hair in the redone version. |
