Thumbs up Let the Right One In.

Let the Right One In. It's my favorite horror film on blu. Gets the Eli stamp of approval. Your horror collection will be naked without it.

You need some old school horrors. The Shining, The Amityville Horror, The Evil Dead, The Exorcist, Cujo, and Creepshow. Newer horrors such as Resident Evil, 28 Weeks Later, The Wolfman, 30 Days of Night, Daybreakers, Cabin Fever, and The Crazies.

better than 98% of the garbage that calls itself "horror" these days. looks and sounds amazing. so many details that you couldn't see on the dvd.

The Descent hands down is probably one of the best Horror BD's out today.

For AQ, try Drag me to Hell. Love the surround on that one. Makes me jump.

The Wolfman has the best PQ, especially the scenes with the old buldings and houses such detail. Blew me away!

i can tell by the horrors you listed above that we have very different tastes in the horror genre and we'll leave it at that

of your list i like three of them, and five of them i didn't find remotely scary
but we're all different, so i guess the OP should mention what types of horrors he likes because if he likes the Saw franchise type movies then neither of our suggestions fit the bill.

If you want something that really encapsulates the spirit of Halloween then I'd recommend Trick 'r Treat. I know some opinions are mixed on it but it does look and sound good on blu ray.

Good movie, but IMO. The AQ was alright.

Agreed. I hated the movie, except for the
[Show spoiler]one about the kids and the bus driver
, but the AQ and PQ are good.

I can't believe no one has said The Thing yet. Looks and sounds amazing. And it's an epic movie to boot.

i think it's $10 on amazon right now, so it wouldn't set you back too much

great choice. love the atmosphere. feels very fresh and unique while being a throw back to "old school" horror movies. not a blood and guts type of horror film, though.

OP: i don't know if you like ALL types of horror or just types of horror, which might help for choices given
