can anyone comment if works for region a?

I checked my German BD on a US PS3 and it worked without any problem.

The DVDProfiler states it is Region A,B+C (or codefree).

Does it have english subtitles? I'm a native speaker but I might want to watch it with friends who do not speak German.

Furthermore, are all the extras watchable on a region A player?

There are English subtitles. Most if not all of the extras are in SD PAL and will not work in 99% of US BD players.

The UK disc has English subs (forced, though) and all the bonus features are compatible with NTSC televisions.

I've never been able to play the special features on my copy, US PS3.

How strange, I watched them on my Panasonic Blu-Ray player, which is region locked to A and can't handle PAL.

Hi All, My German version of the Untergang is unplayable the BD disk is rotten. Can you check yours if it is payable ?
