onkyo 705 and panny 30 - Blu-ray Forum

i have a onkyo 705 reciever and a panny 30 hooked up thru hdmi, i was just wondering what the experts on this forum thought were the best settings for the audio settings would be for the reciever and the player i will be running a 5.1 setup even though i can do a 7.1 . thanks for all your help.

Make sure you set the bd30 to output ALL audio as bitstream and not pcm this way the receiver can decode the audio codecs including dts hd-ma and dolby trueHD. For the 705 I'd recommend just using the included microphone and let the receiver calibrate itself based on your room acoustics.
