Talking Alan Ball's "Signs of Death" new project for HBO

This sounds interesting. I've really enjoyed Clayne's performances where I've seen him, he was the only good thing about the Smokin' Aces sequel. Alan Ball has proved to be a very capable show lead with True Blood and I look forward to seeing more about this soon. One thing is for sure, Alan must require a british lead in all of his shows because Whishaw certainly is.

Clayne Crawford and Ben Wishaw to lead Alan Ball's new HBO drama 'Signs of Death'
Quote:
All signs point to Clayne Crawford landing a major role in Alan Ball’s HBO drama pilot All Signs of Death.

Based on Charlie Huston’s best-selling crime novel, Death revolves around a slacker-turned-crime scene cleaner (Ben Whishaw) who gets entangled in a murder mystery. Crawford—who recurred as Katee Sackhoff’s psycho stalker on the final season of 24—will play his BFF, a sexy greaser who runs a tattoo parlor. Crawford is currently appearing on A&E’s The Glades.

He has won me over twice now with Six Feet Under and True Blood, so I will give this a go as well. I'm just surprised Ball is already working on a new show.

I didn't realize Ball had done anything before True Blood. I never had any interest whatsoever in Six Feet and don't see myself ever venturing down that road, however he has been a fairly good show runner with TB so I hope this doesn't suck.

Hmmmm...wonder why this sounds familiar...

Curdled is 1996 black comedy about a Colombian immigrant who takes a crime scene cleanup job, and discovers evidence about a local serial killer dubbed the "Blue Blood Killer" for his targeting of socialites. The film is a re-make of a 1991 short film of the same name, which also was directed by Reb Braddock and starred Angela Jones. George Clooney has a photo cameo in the film as Seth Gecko.
Note: Angela Jones who stars in this was the cab driver who picked up Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction.

So far I like what Alan Ball has done. True Blood most of all. Six Feet Under I started watching but couldn't get into it but watched later seasons and liked it. Also American Beauty is really good so I'll definitely be checking this show out.

Can't wait to see this sounds good and I love True Blood and heard nothing but good things from six feet under so I have hope that Alan Ball won't disappoint.

'All Signs of Death' DOA at HBO
Quote:
HBO is passing on Alan Ball's latest drama project, All Signs of Death.

The Ball-directed pilot was based on Charlie Huston's noir novel, The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death, about a slacker who joins a crime scene clean-up crew. HBO has decided to not opt for a series greenlight, which should also keep Ball focued on his hit True Blood.

Of course, HBO has Game of Thrones coming in April, and several other projects are waiting for a series verdict: The Hollywood blogger comedy Tilda; the Judd Apatow-produced comedy Girls (formerly Untitled Lena Dunham) about a group of young women; Justin Theroux and Steve Coogan's comedy about the documentary business, Documental; the Julia Louis-Dreyfus comedy Veep (whose pilot being shot next year).

Yeah, I figured they would feel obligated to pick it up because of Alan, guess HBO doesn't care about loyalty. Either that or this show was horrible, but considering some of the stuff they air, I was very surprised to.

I thought for sure this show was going to get picked up with the talents behind it. Also not like HBO has that many great shows they don't know what to do with. Like you said WyldeMan HBO must not care about loyalty that much.

At the rate AMC is growing, they will be my number one channel by next year's end, and they don't cost me $20 a month for only two shows.

You really should checked out Boardwalk Empire it was fantastic and they are going to re-air the full season I believe starting this week, and Game of Thorns doesn't premiere for like 5 more months.

So do you mean you only pay for it in the summer? Than how are you going to watch Boardwalk and Empire? Unless of course you find other means....

No I had HBO all year round but parents got rid of it a little before the end of TB season 3. So I do see them by other means but I do buy everything on Blu-ray/DVD so let's just say I make up for it by doing that as others never pay for anything I at least buy the products.
