Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans

Can anyone confirm if the title card on the UK bluray transfer of Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans says the original title; Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans or just Bad Lieutenant?

All the artwork says just Bad Lieutenant, but I'm hoping the title on the film itself is the original one.

I watched this recently as a LoveFilm rental and can confirm the full title is shown on the UK transfer.

The full title is shown on the film, but all the menus, disk, and cover art all have just the 'Bad Lieutenant' title.

Either way you should go with this edition...it reportedly has a much better transfer than the US disc. I'll be selling my US copy and importing this soon, once the price drops a little.

Where did the UK disc having a better transfer come from? It's a BD50 and has a few more extras, but the contrast / brightness seems off (too bright?) and both of the discs have rough compression from what I sampled.

Transfer looks OK.

Only good thing about the film was the DVD had a lenticular slipcover which helped the Poundland sales:



I've seen Herzog and Cage both say the first they knew about the name change (stealing Bad Lieutenant) was when it got released.

Not their best film.
