Friend lost everything, any help would be more than appreciated

I'm sad to say that one of my close friends lost his house and everything he owned and cared about, mainly his dog, in a fire earlier today. I know this might be asking a lot seeing no one here knows this person, but even if one person donated something it would go a long way. Fire insurance will save your @$$ if your house burns down. My half-brother's house was destroyed, and his fire insurance paid to even have his clothes dry cleaned that could be salvaged.

Yeah hope he had some sort of home insurance at least. It can literally be a life saver! If he doesn't and wants more info about it - pass on this link (great information site for everything home insurance related) http://www.homeinsurance.org . Hope he's alright!!
